Day 2: September 24th: LIMA: CITY TOUR AND LARCO HERRERA MUSEUM

In the afternoon, your tour explores Miraflores and San Isidro, the modern districts of Lima and its historic center, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The tour includes a visit of San Francisco, the city's most visited church (1674). Its underground tunnels lead to catacombs that served as cemetery until 1808 and still contain bones and skulls. Our next stop is the Larco Herrera Museum. The collection allows the understanding of 3,000 years of the Peruvian pre-Columbian history in an intuitive way. Its masterpieces are considered worldwide icons of pre-Inca art and have been displayed in the world's most renowned museums. Accommodation in Lima.

Day 3: September 25th: LIMA - CUSCO: CITY TOUR AND NEARBY RUINS

Morning transfer to the airport for your flight to Cusco Flight Lima - Cusco included Welcome to Cusco! Upon arrival, meeting with your guide and transfer to your hotel. The lunch is on your own. We suggest you for this first day drink a lot of water and have a soft lunch to let your metabolism get used to the altitude. In the afternoon admire the wonderful pre-Hispanic and colonial legacy of Cusco, an interesting journey where you will learn about the Temple of the Sun "Koricancha", an ancient place of worship to the Sun God of the Incas where the convent of Santo Domingo was settled down. Admire the beauty of the Main Square of Cusco and observe the most known sculptures and paintings of the Cusqueño Art inside the cathedral. Continuing the city suburbs, we will visit the Inca complexes of Kenko, Tambomachay, Puca Pucara and the impressive Sacsayhuaman Fortress, strategically built on a hill overlooking Cusco, famous for its huge stones of its external walls, cut and assembled with stunning precision. Day 4: September 26th: CUSCO - SACRED VALLEY

Visit the Sacred Valley, a picturesque tour where you can see important archaeological sites, landscapes and ancient customs. This tour starts with the first stop at Awanacancha Complex, here you will have the chance to see the different South American camelids such as "llamas" and "alpacas". You will also meet local people who will show their techniques for weaving. Your next stop is the Pisac Market where you will have the opportunity to buy local handicrafts and be the spectator of ancient customs like bartering, custom still practiced in remote sites like the Sacred Valley. Enjoy a buffet lunch at a local restaurant and in the afternoon, you will visit the Ollantaytambo Fortress, made up by series of overlapped steps and terraces, built to protect the city from any invasion coming from the jungle through this part of the valley. You will have the opportunity to walk the narrow streets of the village and get a first-hand feeling of this military, religious and cultural center of the Inca Empire. Day 5: September 27th: SACRED VALLEY - MACHU PICCHU - CUSCO

Live one of the most fascinating and extraordinary experiences of the world: Machu Picchu. The adventure begins by embarking on one of the most beautiful railway routes, pass through picturesque Andean landscapes and enjoy the amazing lush jungle until you arrive to the City of Aguas Calientes; here you´ll take the bus for a 30-minute drive along a zigzagging path leading to the marvelous citadel. Machu Picchu may have been home to Pachacutec, first Inca emperor. Walk through passageways and alleys of the citadel enjoy and take in this unique place in the world. Take free time to enjoy the mystic energy and natural beauty of the site before returning to Aguas Calientes for lunch. In the afternoon, you´ll take your train back to Cusco. Accommodation in Cusco

Day 6: September 28th: CUSCO - PUNO

Embark on a comfortable bus and go through beautiful Andean landscapes up to the city of Puno in the Altiplano. On the way, you'll see several touristic attractions such as Saint Peter Church of Andahuaylillas, also known as the Sistine Chapel of America; the archaeological center of Raqchi, an enormous building in honor of the Wiracocha God. The bus will stop for lunch at Sicuani village before continuing to La Raya, the village at the highest point on the route (14,223 ft.). Here you can enjoy few minutes to admire the landscape and take some photos before continuing to Pukara, the last stop on route for a guided visit of the museum that shelters archaeological remains of the Andean cultures who lived on the high plateau. At your arrival assistance and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation in Puno.

Day 7: September 29th: PUNO: UROS & TAQUILE ISLAND

Sail the waters of Lake Titicaca. Early in the morning you will start an excursion to the highest lake in the world. The tour includes a visit to Uros Island where you can go by comfortable motor boats. Uros is part of Aymara ethnic family of islands that live on artificial islands made of floating reeds (Totora is a plant that exist in the region). From here you can reach the hills of Taquile Island. Gifted with several hills and harboring archaeological sites, the island's main activity are textiles (hand works of art) representing scenes of everyday life. You will have lunch at a nearby local place. Accommodation in Puno.

Day 8: September 30th: PUNO - LIMA

Transfer to the airport to take your flight back to Lima. Flight Juliaca - Lima included At your arrival assistance and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the d0ay is at leisure.
