In the morning (or afternoon), your tour explores Miraflores and San Isidro, the modern districts of Lima and its historic center, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The tour includes a visit of San Francisco, the city's most visited church (1674). Its underground tunnels lead to catacombs that served as cemetery until 1808 and still contain bones and skulls. Our next stop is the Larco Herrera Museum. The collection allows the understanding of 3,000 years of the Peruvian pre-Columbian history in an intuitive way. Its masterpieces are considered worldwide icons of pre-Inca art and have been displayed in the world's most renowned museums.

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the airport for your flight to Cusco (only transportation).
Upon arrival, you will be met at the airport and transferred to the hotel. We suggest you enjoy a coca tea and relax before start your first excursion.
In the afternoon, admire the wonderful pre-Hispanic and colonial legacy of Cusco, an interesting journey where you will learn about the Temple of the Sun "Koricancha", ancient place of worship to the Sun God of the Incas where the convent of Santo Domingo was located, admire the beauty of the Main Square of Cusco, and observe the most known sculptures and paintings of the Cusqueño Art inside the cathedral.
The tour includes the visit to the Inca complexes of Kenko, Tambomachay, Puca Pucara and the impressive Sacsayhuaman Fortress, strategically built on a hill overlooking Cusco, famous for its huge stones of its external walls, cut and assembled with stunning precision.

Visit the Sacred Valley, a picturesque tour where you can see important archaeological remains, landscapes and village customs.
This tours starts with a first stop at Awanacancha Complex, here you can have the chance to feed Andean Camelids such as "llamas" and "alpacas"; also you can have the opportunity to meet local people who will show their techniques for weaving in their local sites. The tour will include the visit of the typical Pisaq Market where you can have the opportunity to shop or buy local handcrafts and try the traditional local costumes. Enjoy a buffet lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, you will visit Ollantaytambo Fortress, made up by series of overlapped steps and terraces, built to protect the city from any invasion coming from the jungle through this part of the valley. You will have the opportunity to walk the narrow streets of the village and get a first-hand feeling of this military, religious and cultural center of the Inca Empire.

Today get ready to live one of the most fascinating and extraordinary experiences of the world: Machu Picchu!
Early in the morning, you will be transferred to Ollanta train station (only transportation) where the adventure begins by embarking on one of the most beautiful railway routes, pass through picturesque Andean landscapes and enjoy the amazing lush jungle until you arrive to Aguas Calientes town. Here you will ta ke a bus and for 30-minutes' drive along a zigzagging path leading to the marvelous citadel. Machu Picchu may have been home of Pachacutec, the first Inca emperor.
Walk through passageways and alleys of the citadel and enjoy and take in this unique place in the world (Note the guided visit of Machu Picchu has a duration of 2:30hrs.)
Take free time to enjoy the mystic energy and natural beauty of the site before enjoying your lunch in Aguas Calientes.

After breakfast, you have the remainder of the morning free to roam around the majestic site of Machu Picchu, climb the Wayna Picchu (at 3000 m) and get panoramic pictures from Machu Picchu (Entrance fee for Machu Picchu & Wayna Picchu as well as the shuttle bus are included - no guide service).
In the afternoon, return by train from Aguas Calientes to the station of Poroy (or Ollanta) (unescorted).
