Day 1: Lima

Welcome to Lima! Upon arrival, assistance, and transfer to your hotel. In the morning (or afternoon), your tour explores Miraflores and San Isidro, the modern districts of Lima and its historic center, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The tour includes a visit of San Francisco, the city's most visited church (1674). Its underground tunnels lead to catacombs that served as cemetery until 1808 and still contain bones and skulls. Our next stop is the Larco Herrera Museum. The collection allows the understanding of 3,000 years of the Peruvian pre-Columbian history in an intuitive way. Its masterpieces are considered worldwide icons of pre-Inca art and have been displayed in the world's most renowned museums. Accommodation in Lima

Day 2: Lima/Cusco - City Tour & Archaeological Park.

Arrival in Cusco, assistance and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, admire the wonderful pre-Hispanic and colonial legacy of Cusco, an interesting journey where you will learn about the Temple of the Sun "Koricancha", ancient place of worship to the Sun God of the Incas where the convent of Santo Domingo was located, admire the beauty of the Main Square of Cusco and observe the most known sculptures and paintings in Cuzcanian Art inside the cathedral. Continuing the city suburbs, we will visit the Inca complexes of Kenko, Tambomachay, Puca Pucara and the impressive Sacsayhuaman Fortress, strategically built on a hill overlooking Cusco, famous for its huge stones of its external walls, cut and assembled with stunning precision. Day 3: Cusco/Sacred Valley of the Incas.

Visit the Sacred Valley, a picturesque tour where you can see important archaeological remains, landscapes and village customs. This tours starts with a first stop at Awanacancha Complex, here you can have the chance to feed Andean Camelids such as "llamas" and "alpacas"; also you can have the opportunity to meet local people who will show their techniques for weaving in their local sites. The tour will include the visit of the typical Pisaq Market where you can have the opportunity to shop or buy local handcrafts and try the traditional local costumes. Enjoy a buffet lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, you will visit Ollantaytambo Fortress, made up by series of overlapped steps and terraces, built to protect the city from any invasion coming from the jungle through this part of the valley. You will have the opportunity to walk the narrow streets of the village and get a first-hand feeling of this military, religious and cultural center of the Inca Empire. Day 4: Llama Trek to Archaeological Remains

Enjoy an amazing walk through the picturesque Pumahuanca Valley in company of the llamas owned by the community families involved in the Llama Pack Project. Before you start your trek, you will be introduced to the Llama Pack Project, then the llamas will be gathered and your trek will start. You will hike along the river, through native forests where the rare native trees such as queñual, aliso and chachacomo can still be found and you learn all about the noble and native eco-friendly llamas and their importance to preserve high-Andean ecosystems. After a 2 to 3 hour walk uphill at slow pace, you will reach the archaeological remains of Inkarakai. There, with a beautiful view of the valley we will have a nice rest and then continue towards the outdoor picnic site. After a nice and recovering brunch, we will return walking downhill to the starting point. Accommodation in Sacred Valley.

Day 5: Sacred Valley/ Machu Picchu/Cusco.

Live one of the most fascinating and extraordinary experiences of the world: Machu Picchu. The adventure begins by embarking on one of the most beautiful railway routes, pass through picturesque Andean landscapes and enjoy the amazing lush jungle until you arrive to the City of Aguas Calientes; here you´ll take the bus for a 30 minute drive along a zigzaging path leading to the marvelous citadel. Machu Picchu may have been home to Pachacutec, first Inca emperor. Walk through passageways and alleys of the citadel enjoy and take in this unique place in the world. Take free time to enjoy the mystic energy and natural beauty of the site before returning to Aguas Calientes for lunch. In the afternoon, you´ll take your train back to Cusco. Accommodation in Cusco.

Day 6: Cusco/Puno - The Route of the Sun

Embark on a comfortable tour bus and go through beautiful Andean landscapes up to the city of Puno in the Altiplano. On the way, you'll see several touristic attractions such as Saint Peter Church of Andahuaylillas, also known as the Sistine Chapel of America; the archaeological center of Raqchi, an enormous building in honor of the Wiracocha God. The bus will stop for lunch at Sicuani village before continuing to La Raya, the village at the highest point on the route (14,223 ft.). Here you can enjoy few minutes to admire the landscape and take some photos before continuing to Pukara, the last stop on route for a guided visit of the museum that shelters archaeological remains of the Andean cultures who lived on the high plateau. At your arrival assistance and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation in Puno.

Day 7: Puno/Uros and Amantani (overnight in Amantani)

Explore the magic of Lake Titicaca in two days. In the morning, you leave from the Port to the floating islands of Uros. On arrival, you will visit the island and here you can buy handicrafts made by the locals. Continue the journey to Amantani Island where we will have a warm welcome from the villagers. After settling in the family homes, you will enjoy the lunch prepared by local products (potatoes, rice, chuños, fish and eggs). Then you will visit the tourist attractions of the island. A delicious dinner and dancing waits for you at night with the locals (typical dance and clothing). Overnight at family homes.

Day 8: Amantani/Taquile/Puno

After breakfast, we depart to Taquile Island, you will have to walk 40minutes uphill to see all the beauty of Lake Titicaca. We have lunch at a tourist restaurant and then in the afternoon you head towards the Port in Puno city. Accommodation in Puno.

Day 9: Puno/Lima

Transfer to the airport to take your flight back to Lima. At your arrival assistance and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Accommodation in Lima.
